This weeks in the shop look around at what we are working on, We just finished stripping and straining this beautiful cherry dining table, also finished up staining, clear coating and painting the lowers on some vintage dressers which are heading out the door for delivery. We also started a cabinet job and were working on cleaning and sanding cabinet doors although you do not see them in the video being they are in the trailer outside, just to keep some open space in the shop..

Stripped, sanded, pre-stain on, and now applying Minwax Gel Stain - It is a custom color mix i did. Just brushing on and ragging off, will apply 3 or 4 coats to achieve the color the client likes, giving sufficient air time between coats. Working in my Shop, Sarasota Florida, beautiful day outside so left the door open. Full video coming.

Tops have been sanding, vac’d and wipe down and applying some pre-stain to both dressers and they are both getting Weathered Oak from Minwax. Using Valspar pre-stain being I had a new can laying around the shop and this stuff smells horrible, opened the door, put up a fan and on goes the respirator.  Man! Typically have used Minwax pre-stain or Old Masters wood conditioner, both of which do not smell anything like this.. lol  Applying some Minwax oil based stain, doing two coats although...
