My wife and i love refinishing furniture, taking the proper steps to ensure a finish that looks like it is a factory finish and will hold up to daily use by a family.  We clean the surface before anything is done, then we sand, how much we sand depends on the desired outcome, staining something takes a different direction here being we have to get it down to bare wood.  While painting we do not have to sand as much and put two coats of primer and then two coats of paint.   Check out our videos on refinishing furniture here.
