Taping cabinet frames off to prepare for primer in Lakewood Ranch.
Today we are taping off cabinets, getting them ready for primer and paint, these have already been sanded and cleaned with denatured alcohol. Taping boxes, the walls and floor are the last thing before primer goes on, well the temp wall is the last thing. I like using paper on the boxes instead of plastic just for the simple fact we use a lot of it and figure it degrades faster then plastic in the dump. I went around and put a 2” wide strip of white tape down so much wife cou

Sanding cabinet frames to prep for paint
Today we are sanding frames to get them ready for primer and paint. Using 180 grit sanding screens on my Festool RTS 400 EQ sander and handing sanding some of the profile areas with a sponge. We want to rough up the surface in a micro level to give our primer something really nice to bite onto. We have found 180 grit is the sweet spot when doing scratch testing after primer and then after paint go on. Next up will be taping off box openings, the floor and anywhere else we

It sprayed super nice with my Titan Capspray 110 and my Harbor Freight turbine gun which I love. Yes i have a Titan gun as well as Apollo. I thinned about 21% with distilled water and it
